As promised, more on life as a PhD student! I hope I have not lost you, my dear readers…… But I have to say, I did struggle to blog again, because it will be on something different. Not to mention I am in my final year of research and I am planning to return to Hong Kong next year this time… hmmm… to get married, get a job and write-up my thesis!!! Also, there are still lots of things I want to do in London – visit Dulwich Gallery, watch Handel’s Messiah, and try a very famous Fish and Chips shop near Covent Garden!!!
So, how about a mini series on choosing a PhD and what to expect in a PhD? I would also like to share with you some interesting skills I have learned these years, e.g. statistics, blogging, networking, etc. Indeed, the main aim of this little series is to give you an idea of what a PhD is. Honestly, I love my PhD so much that I hope more of you consider doing one if you are interested. It is not only for qualification, academic research experience and career development, but PhD is LIFE-CHANGING and I am not exaggerating! (Quote me if you wish!) I have become a calmer and happier person; people here are great and I enjoy teamwork more, and I think I work smarter, better and faster these days, haha!
